NOTICE:  The Town Office will be closed for business on Thursday, November 20th but will be open on Friday.

There will be a Special Town Meeting on Wednesday, November 19th at 7:00 p.m. at the Cherryfield School for the purpose of voting on proposed changes to the Land Use Ordinance as well as to vote on proposed Fireworks Ordinance and an Ordinance for Automobile Graveyards / Junkyards

Please note that the Town Office is closed Friday, Oct. 31st for regular business.  We will be open for Special Circumstance Absentee Voting only.

The Town of Cherryfield is now accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant to the Board of Selectmen.  Administrative experience is a plus but not required.  Knowledge of Municipal Government procedures, data entry, fund accounting and good communication skill is a plus.  The successful candidate will be required to take necessary trainings to enable them to work with the general public processing registrations and issuing licenses and permits.  A job description / benefits package is available at the Town Office.  Resumes need to be in the Town Office by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025. Please note that the Assessor for Cherryfield will be in the Town Office on Tuesday, Aug. 12th and Wed. Aug. 13th to meet with folks who have questions regarding their new valuation.  He will be in the office from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. both days.

The Transfer Station will be closed on Friday, July 4th but will be open as usual on Saturday.  Enjoy your holiday !

NOTICE:  The regular Selectmen’s meeting for Tuesday, June 24th has been cancelled.  There’s no new business at this time so if something comes up we  will post a meeting date.

NOTICE:  There will be a brief Selectmen’s meeting on Monday, June 16th at 3:30 p.m. for the sole purpose of finalizing paperwork for a Tax Anticipation Loan
