The Town of Cherryfield is now accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant to the Board of Selectmen.  Administrative experience is a plus but not required.  Knowledge of Municipal Government procedures, data entry, fund accounting and good communication skill is a plus.  The successful candidate will be required to take necessary trainings to enable them to work with the general public processing registrations and issuing licenses and permits.  A job description / benefits package is available at the Town Office.  Resumes need to be in the Town Office by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025. Please note that the Assessor for Cherryfield will be in the Town Office on Tuesday, Aug. 12th and Wed. Aug. 13th to meet with folks who have questions regarding their new valuation.  He will be in the office from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. both days.

The Transfer Station will be closed on Friday, July 4th but will be open as usual on Saturday.  Enjoy your holiday !

NOTICE:  The regular Selectmen’s meeting for Tuesday, June 24th has been cancelled.  There’s no new business at this time so if something comes up we  will post a meeting date.

NOTICE:  There will be a brief Selectmen’s meeting on Monday, June 16th at 3:30 p.m. for the sole purpose of finalizing paperwork for a Tax Anticipation Loan

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TOWN OFFICE WILL BE CLOSING AT NOON ON Tuesday, June 11th due to an important meeting and paperwork that needs to be done with the Bank.

THERE WILL BE AN INSPECTION OF THE BALLOTS CAST IN THE MARCH 4, 2025 MUNICIPAL ELECTION.  THIS WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE TOWN OFFICE MEETING ROOM ON TUESDAY, MARCH 11, 2025 AT 1:00 p.m.

There will be a meeting on Wednesday, February 26th at 5:30 p.m. at the Cherryfield Academy Building to share design proposals, etc. and engage in discussion regarding the Cable Pool Park / Cherryfield Dam.

Also, don’t forget the Annual Election of Town Officers / School Board Members will be on Tuesday, March 4th at the Town Office from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m..

There will be a Public Workshop on January 14th at the Cherryfield Academy for an evening of discussion on what people in Cherryfield would like to see in the design for the Cable Pool Park. Families encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be served !
